The magazine
Sponsored content policy
Like many independent magazines, The Everyday Heart may accept clearly labeled commercial cooperation to fund its work. At the time of this page's publication the inventory is empty: no sponsored content, no advertising and no paid links exist anywhere on the site, and the public inventory file backs that sentence. This page defines what would be accepted, how it would be labeled, and what is excluded regardless of price.
Labeling and mechanics
Any commercial material carries a disclosure at the top of the page using the words sponsored content, not a euphemism and not a footnote. Paid or commercial links carry rel sponsored or rel nofollow as appropriate, never a bare link designed to pass for an editorial one. Sponsored material is visually distinct from editorial pages and is never presented as an article, a review or a guide written by the editors.
Hard exclusions
Because this is a health publication, the exclusions are broad and non negotiable: no supplements, no devices, no diagnostic services, no clinics, no treatment providers, no pharmacies, no insurance products, no weight loss products and no health applications of any kind. No commercial cooperation may imply medical endorsement, cite a study on the sponsor's behalf, or address an individual reader's condition.
Editorial independence
Sponsors have no access to editorial pages, no preview of them and no say in topics, sources or conclusions. The editorial policy governs every editorial page regardless of who funds the magazine, and the health notice at the top of editorial pages never appears on sponsored material, because that notice belongs to the editors' own words. Readers who see unlabeled commercial material on this site are asked to report it by email; it would be a breach of this page.
The running inventory of placements is maintained in the project's sponsor inventory file, available to partners on request, and this policy page is updated whenever the inventory changes.
