The short version: this magazine does not track you. There are no analytics scripts, no advertising cookies, no social widgets, no fonts fetched from elsewhere and no third parties receiving your reading. Every resource the site uses is served from its own domain, which you can verify in your browser's network panel, and that is a deliberate design decision rather than an oversight.

What is collected anyway

Hosting infrastructure keeps standard server logs, the kind every website's host records: request time, URL, response size and an IP address, kept for security and abuse purposes for a limited period. These logs are never used to profile readers, never sold and never shared for marketing, because there is no marketing to share them with.

Email

Writing to contact@daytonhearthospital.com creates an email thread, handled by the editors and kept as long as the conversation needs. The address is used to reply and for nothing else: no newsletter is added to, no list is built, no address leaves the mailbox. Ask and the thread will be deleted.

No cookies, no consent banner

The site sets no cookies of its own and loads no third party that could set any, which is why there is no consent banner to click through. Preferences such as dark mode, if ever offered, would be stored in your own browser, not on a server.

Your rights

Readers in jurisdictions with data protection laws have rights of access, correction and erasure over any personal data a site holds. Here the practical scope is an email thread and a line of server log; requests go to the contact address and are honored simply and quickly. Children's data deserves a plain sentence too: the magazine is written for adults and does not knowingly collect anything from anyone.
